MCQ done..

just finished my MCQ paper..1 exam down now..!! =p

45 mCQ's in an hour..which covers stuffs from all 6 blocks..

it wasnt too bad, but not easy as well..i hav a feeling tat i could answer those questions from the other 3 blocks that i havnt done better..heehee..*weird* n i tend 2 pick the answer or disease that i hav never heard/seen before..if i havnt got a clue what the question is about..hehe..>_< i guess i m not taking the exam vy seriously..*bleh* (wat do u expect if it's merely formative..hee..=p)

we r even allowed 2 keep the question sheet =p

anyway..it's OVER now..XD

the real exam i.e. OSCE is on friday..which comprises four 9-minute OSCE stations..2 physical examinations & 2 history-taking stations..

so what i hav got 2 do now is to practice practice n practice..!!

house-moving

just reached home..huhh~~

this is the 2nd hse-moving since i came here..

the 1st time was obviously me moving from clayton(my sis's hse) 2 templestowe(where i m staying now)..but this time it's ms lichia who's moving.......

my responsibility was 2 fetch lichia n frens from the city 2 her new hse in heidelberg..n i was asked 2 be at the city ard 9.30am..but this morn ard 8.30am..when i was still happily sleeping n having a nice sweet dream..i was woke up by lichia's call telling me 2 come out NOW.....>_< anyway i m not complaining bout that..hehe..

hse-moving is one of the most tedious n sien things on Earth......(hands up if u agree wif me..XD)

everything begins wif looking for a nice hse as near 2 the hosp/uni as possible..then comparing the rents..settling contract, electricity, water, gas, phone line & internet..calling the hse mover..getting nice n cheap furniture..packing..etc......

n finally the "big" day comes.....
but that's not the end of the story yet....

u hav 2 make sure the hse mover doesnt fong ur fei gei at the last minute..then loading..getting 2 the new place..unloading..unpacking n finally cleaning the new hse......(the trouble is doubled if u r not staying on the ground floor..=p) i guarantee u ll feel exhausted at the end of the day..n swear that u ll never ever move again...=p

so hav done a bit of exercise this morn..helping lichia n melissa 2 carry their stuffs from ground floor 2 the 1st floor...

they hav got a vy nice hse..which is just 2 years old..the living room is spacious(n they r getting a sofa bed..) the kitchen is nice..the toilet is oso nice..lichia's room is huge wif a walk-in wardrobe, its own bathroom n a ceiling fan!! (the 1st ceiling fan that i hav ever seen in aus..haha..=p)

hphmm..going 2 crash lichia's new hse one day....XD (mayb next year..hee...)

Last day

today was the LAST day of my semester 8..

the last day of the 18-week semester..

cant believe that i m coming 2 the end of this semester..(cyew even said that she felt like she has just come back from bendigo ytday..=p)

18 weeks...3 blocks...*wooshhh* it's gone now..!! (like magic!! =p) ^_^

i must say that i m act glad tat it's over..coz that means i m now even closer 2 the day of going home..(i m counting the days..^_^) heehee..but i must oso admit that time really flies..there goes my 1st year in melb..a memorable n interesting year i hope..hee..

i can still recall my 1st day in uni..our trip 2 werribee..all the bday celebrations..going home during easter n winter breaks..mei coming over..hse moving..clinicals..posting at bendigo..etc......which r all the make-up of my 1st year here in melb......

i used 2 thk that 3 years of studies overseas seem like eternity..but now i m almost one-third thru my "eternity"..hee..(n time passes by so quickly that sometimes i m afraid tat i hav not lived my everyday to the fullest..XD)

MCQ's paper on wed n OSCE on friday..but......the MCQ's paper is just formative..which carries no mark at all..n this OSCE is only 10%....(the killer final exam is in next semester..) >_<

**20 days away from home**

it's Friday..

it's Friday..

it's not a hol..but i didnt hav any class today..it just so happened tat all the tutes hav been either postponed or brought forward..so i act felt like having a day off..hee..=p

however..i still dragged myself of my comfy bed this morn n went 2 the hosp..(guai-nya~)

spent the whole morn in the library..(flipping thru the ophthal book trying 2 figure out the differentials of chronic loss of vision..=p)

"brainology" & "eyeology" >_<

however..i was not paying 100% attention..busy sms-ing mei 2 discuss bout the "plan" tonite..
& we ended up in melb central ltr this evening..----->>>>> SHOPPING!! hohoho....(the "result" of this shopping session wasnt vy impressive though..=p)

we then had dinner at ying thai..(those who hav read my previous post would b familiar wif this place..=p)


n i noticed this guy, in his 20's, sitting beside mei who looked vy much like our national badminton player -- Wong Choong Han..hehe..mei tot their eyes look similar but i reckoned they hav the same hair..hee..=p (i should hav taken a pic of him!! =p)

anyway..we came out wif 2 hypotheses:

1. He's WCH's younger bro.
2. He's WCH's son!! haha..(this was act mei's hypothesis..n i had no idea how she came out wif this..hee..XD)

n throughout the dinner..both of us couldnt stop kap-ping WCH's bro/son n eavesdropping on his conversation wif his fren..

& we once again came out wif, not a hypothesis, but a conclusion:

(but we hav never had the chance 2 prove our 1st 2 hypotheses..=p)

so..aft stuffing our ke-lian-de-stomach wif rice noodle "Pud Thai" & fried rice "Kao Pud"..we then headed for fredo's ice-cream..which was just a stone's throw from ying thai..n which was just irresistable..hee..mei n i shared a single cup of lychee(my fave!!) & roche..nice! nice!! *slurpzz*

mei's Surprise

"Surprise!!"

ok..it's supposed 2 b a big surprise for mei..but it turned out 2 b a not-so-successful surprise..=p

it started wif ming ming n i looking for mei's bday present in the city..we wanted 2 get her sth from Borders..but too bad..tat item was sold out..(till now i still hav no idea wat "tat item" is..but according 2 ming..it's sth like an envelope n letter set..>_<)

so we shopped along Bourke St aimlessly.. saw this smiley+whistle necklace from Diva but ming was adamant tat mei wouldnt wear it..>_<

n finally we decided 2 go 2 our usual shopping place ----->>>>> DFO!!

our 1st stop was Dotti..where i immediately n conveniently forgot bout our main purpose of buying mei's present..heehee..*pai seh* busy grabbing cheap n nice spaghetti straps 2 try on..while ming found this black vest!! ok..at least we found sth..!! *huh~~*

aft modelling in tat black vest till ming was satisfied..n just before we were bout 2 pay..i realised sth was just not right..

OMG!! it's BLACK!! *gasp*

the problem's not bcoz tat mei is oso known as "Black"..=p it's due to some Soo's family rule plus respect for the elderly..n thus ming & i reluctantly placed tat vest back 2 the shelf..

ok..n the rest of the shopping part wasnt tat dramatic..=p

we finally got mei another vest..which is grey in colour..(oso which lichia who came much later claimed tat is nicer than the one i was wearing..fine~~ =p)

while waiting for jun n jiawei at melb central..

it's dinner time..we then walked 2 Lygon St aft meeting jun n jiawei (mei's classmates)..

however, lady luck was not by our side..

ying thai(the nicest thai restaurant in melb!!) was closed..!
fredo's was closed..!!
coretto was closed..!!!

aihh...n we finally surrendered ourselves to Papa Guino..(which i personally thk tat the food there isnt tat good..=p)

ohh..btw..when we(ming, lichia, jun, jiawei n i) were heading for Papa Guino..kie was supposed 2 bring mei 2 the same restaurant..just a bit later than us..n we act wanted 2 giv mei the idea tat she was just going 2 hav a "normal" dinner wif ming n kie..

however, when all of us got there..obviously mei didnt appear as surprised as we expected..hehe..n we all(mayb just me..) agreed tat we should hav asked another candidate 2 accompany mei..definitely not kie!! hahaa..=p according 2 mei..kie just looked so suspicious n kind of letting the cat of the bag..anyway..mei wasnt expecting lichia, jun n jiawei..(i was the easy guess..XD)

so..Surprise!!

un-Routine

had a not-so-routine day on fri....

act it's supposed 2 b a hol on fri..but obviously our group is the "pai mia" group..tutors ll b away for the next 2-3 weeks n tat day was the only day they were available..n thus we ended up 2 b the only few "little kittens" who turned up in the hosp..the hosp seemed a bit quiet n the student common room was uncommonly deserted..=p

reached home ard 2.30pm n i did sth tat i havnt done for a long longggg time..
----->>>>> i took a nap!! *wow* hehe..

i used 2 b an everyday-nap-per..but my life has changed completely since this semester started..i.e. clinicals started..it seems impossible 2 sleep in the aftnoon when u hav 2 be in hosp from 9-5pm..(unless u dun mind sharing bed wif patients..>_<)

**btw..the 9-5 rule was set by the clinical sch..we hav 2 b in the hosp at least fr 9-5 regardless of having any tute onot..*sweat* treating us like primary sch students..*rolling eyes* but we r oso not tat guai n obedient..hee..>_<

anyway, i took a nap..a long nap..i.e. 3-4hrs..!! hee..=p
n i felt so wrong n guilty when awakening..a bit strange..hee..n i kept waking up from sleep towards the last hour of my nap due to the guilt..=p

in a nutshell..
it's a not-so-"an wen" de long-missed aftnoon nap..=p

as a result of tat nap..i stayed up the whole night n went 2 bed ard 4.30am..another "rebellious act"..hahahaa..XD my life has been so routine tat i forgot when was the last time i slept later than 12-1am..(oh..there's once at mei's place..XD)

anyway it's another "big" thing..which is worth mentioning..!! hee..>_<

it's weekend!! exciting-nya..

时间的问题

今天为了一个“时间”的问题纠正了我的一位"姊妹"。。一个关于一个月与一个月多的问题。。hee..

时间正以它自己的速度前进着。。从不会加速或减速。。没有中场休息或假期。。只是以一成不变的速度消逝。。日复一日，年复一年。。可是我们却常常觉得时间过地太快。。或太慢了。。。我期待着回家及假期的日子。。所以一个月似乎太漫长了；而我害怕考试的到来。。所以一个月又忽然间变得太短了。。好矛盾的心情。。一个人可以同时拥有那么多的心情，也太累了吧。。=p (to all HP fans..this reminds me of the line by Ron in HP5 movie..bout his feelings of the size of a teacup..hee..)

两个月的假期感觉上很短(对贪心的我来说。。) 可是相较与之前一个月的暑假。。它却长了整整一倍。。这两个月应该会好好地被我挥霍掉吧。。完完全全的放松。。完完全全的尽情玩乐。。可是倘若这两个月是我生命中的最后两个月。。这两个月的时间对于我的意义会全然不同吧。。有时候(无聊的时候=p)，我会盯着时钟，盯着秒针。。看着时间一秒一秒地流逝。。就这样一去不回头。。会有一种很奇怪的感觉。。其实还蛮恐怖的嘛。。hee..

hmm...如果让你选择，你最想回到过去的哪一个时候？还是baby的时候？小学？中学？ 想回到过去最快乐的时光。。或是最遗憾的时候去作一些弥补？对于我来说，我不知道耶。。“不知道”或许是一种幸福。。也或许我只是太贪心了，只是一个选择并不足够。。无论如何，任何选择都代表着某种意义吧。。某种深刻的感情或回忆。。

上个星期日开始了daylight saving。。忽然间把时钟调快了一个小时。。那么那消失掉的一个消失到底去了哪里啊。。我的生活被fast forward了一个小时吗(好像电影那样吗？=p)。。就那样不见了一个小时。。*weird*

又到了睡眠的时间。。*yawn*
不知从何时开始规定自己每天要睡八个小时。。有时候只睡了五或六个小时。。其实已经足够了，可是心理上却觉得自己肯定睡眠不足。。感觉还是很累很累。。奇怪耶。。
今晚会睡七个半小时。。应该还OK吧。。>_<
