bye ladies; hi kids

it's the last day of my 9-week O&G rotation...hav finally come to the end...

overall O&G has been interesting: delivery sessions can be exciting n vy useful if u got a nice midwife -- a nice midwife ll definitely make ur day; i also survived 7 weeks of gynae clinic with a not-so-friendly-n-nice de mentor, who never bothered to explain any case or even talk to me, or just replied with a "hmm.." when i tried to ask questions..mayb i shouldnt complain as she was already nice enough to let me sit in with her -- but i would probably expect a little bit more than that in a teaching hospital..*bleh* anyway apparently that's her style n she always behaves like that to someone inferior to her, according to the registrar..*sigh*; on the other hand, antenatal clinic was fun -- good mentor, nice patients n happy babies!; lectures were really really good -- Prof Permezel & Dr Walker gav us the best teachings of all n they managed to rmb each n everyone's name in the 2nd lecture -- geng! really appreciated..

i m not sure if i m going to do O&G in the future..but it's definitely one of the options in my list..heh..but i did feel like having my own baby while i was doing this rotation..heehee...all sorts of problems arise or get worse in n with pregnancy but women r still getting pregnant n going thru painful labour..so there must be "sth" bout being a mother..sth great, beautiful n powerful -- i totally agree with the "most beautiful theory" i mentioned in my previous previous post..*_*

next coming up is children n adolescent's health..hm, i m ok with children, but just a little bit afraid of those vy protective parents..hee..(btw, a guy fren of mine thought of having his own child after spending just two hours with the kids in a nursery..=p) anyway good luck! ^^

we had dinner tgt after that..n we were having this discussion regarding religions..a usually-pretty-sensitive-n-serious topic..heh..kmeng i.e. Christian vs the gals i.e. Buddhists...kmeng was explaining to us bout God, our sin being washed away by Jesus's blood, the two most well-known human beings on earth -- Adam n Eve, heaven n hell etc...while cyew n i tried to raise our doubts n voice our opinions..politely...^^ religion has been a topic of debate since years n years ago..n there's never a conclusion...i always believe in karma, or more precisely -- 因果 coz i m not so sure bout rebirth/ reincarnation, which according to cyew, is part of karma..therefore i wouldnt call myself a devoted buddhist(altho i hav been attending buddhist camps for many many years..=p) anyway we should always respect all religions n i thk as long as a religion teaches us to do good deeds n b a good person, that is a "good" religion...btw it was just an interesting n "light" discussion among frens..no hard feelings..hee...*_*

昨天在city遇见了一个很特别的朋友 -- 宜熹。。

我和宜熹的关系可以算是笔友吧。。我们是在一个学习营认识的。。那年我五年级，而她四年级；我是吉隆坡人，而她来自彭亨。。。被排在同一组，交换了地址，就这样成了笔友。。。

这十几年来，我们之间可以说是"分分合合"、"藕断丝连"。。嘻嘻。。写写信，又断了讯息；又重新通信，又交换了frenster，然后又断了讯息。。可是，除了初次的学习营，这是我们第二次正式的见面吧。。嘿。。

遇见她，感觉有点陌生，可是又感觉熟悉。。也加上一点点的感触。。嘻。。。无论如何，真的很开心啦。。*wink* 好奇妙的缘份耶。。

IMU-melber gathering

we had a IMU-melber gathering last weekend -- steamboat at chunpeng n darren's place..i thk it was one of the biggest n merriest gatherings that we hav ever had...XD

as a tradition, we, the IMU-melbers usu hav a gathering once a year..however due to the poor attendance on the previous occasion early this year, we finally decided to organise it again..=p n this time, we had sem 8(juniors), sem 10(us) & sem 12(seniors), plus an intern n a registrar(super seniors)...*yeaa* altho not everyone turned up, but at least most of us made the effort to come n catch up with each other...a nice n "successful" gathering..^^

btw according to some should-b-reliable souces..starting 2011 unimelb ll change its "policy" n ll only accept graduate entries ..n that means there ll be no more "IMU-melbers" after 2011 -- so saddd..:S actually IMU may consider doing the "IMU-biomed science-unimelb" package..like what they r currently doing with queensland uni...=p

anyway..it was nice to see everyone..
hopefully we can meet up more often..^^ (altho i ll probably forget all their names by then..heh..)

hav been quite stressed out over the last few days due to my presentation..it's part of my exam but apparently it accounts for only 1% of the whole exam..however this didnt stop me from getting nervous..at all...i m always that kind of person who easily freaks out when coming to presentation i.e. talking in front of ppl..n the most terrifying n worst of all is the Q&A session at the end of it..*scary* =p anyway it wasnt too bad i thk..i did put in some effort to prepare n practice..n i actually managed to present n talk thru the slide, instead of reading off my notes..hehe...=p

really glad that the presentation is over now..hopefully the rest of the week would be relaxing..heehee..shopping~~ la la la la la~~~~~ ^^

the weather is getting warmer as well..
