今天. 那些年.
my Bendigo med reg-ing job officially started today.
first of all accommodation was ok. last night i had to stay in this motel for just one night as the unit that i was moving into was not ready until this afternoon. i thought a "motel" sounded dodgy but it actually turned out to be more pleasant than my current permanent accommodation. but at least there is internet connection here n it makes all the difference. :p
unfortunately first day of being a med reg was not a smooth one. my co-registrar called in sick (totally didnt expect that) n we were post-triple take! a stressful day. but i still managed to leave at 5pm which made me feel even more uneasy. :p responsibilities n responsibilities..
i am going to keep praying...

read the book a couple of months ago but have finally got a chance to watch the movie of "you are the apple of my eye" last night.
i cant tell which one i like more but i definitely enjoyed the movie - the guy is totally my type. hehe.
n this is one of my favourite songs recently.

CNY day 8
time flies.
it's already the 8th day of CNY. we just got back from Genting Highlands today - it was a "mini" family trip; a relaxing trip to spend quality time together. Genting Highlands also brings back a lot of good old memories from our high school times e.g. taking the cable car, seven of us squeezing in one one-bedroom hotel, theme park rides, leo ku's concert etc.. those were the days..
anyway more photos to come soon..
two more days n i ll be on the flight back to Melbourne again. aihh.. a vicious cycle that i hate much.
more night shifts awaiting me. Bendigo awaiting me. n study group awaiting me..
hopefully the year of dragon is going to be a smooth & peaceful year for me.. i pray..

CNY 2012
happy CNY!! a happy dragon year!!
had to spend my CNY eve working night shift again. well i stayed up till 10am the next morning - so i guess loads n loads of health & longevity for my dearest daddy n mummy. :) i missed my reunion dinner *sob* however we managed to have our small little warm reunion dinner on Saturday at Hutong, the small "family" consisted of me, shuang, cyew n christine. at least we were not alone.
CNY in melbourne is just like any other ordinary day. it's so quiet - might be a bit merrier if u happen to be in the city or in Box Hill.
anyway 12 more hours n i will be back in my home sweet home - nothing like spending CNY back at home. i m looking forward to be engulfed by the "redness", the noisy CNY songs & the hot weather back home.

sadly i had to spend my new year's eve working night shift with dear at home alone. definitely not how i would like to end my 2011. anyway may the year of 2012 be a happy & peaceful one for my family, friends n myself.
it's time for new year's resolutions again. however i never took my new year's resolutions seriously in the past, so i guess i ll pass this year. :p

durian
i am officially in a love-hate relationship with durian. *blek*
love the fragrance (although some find its unusual odour really smelly) & the taste - sometimes u cannot have enough of it. mummy is a good example. hehe.
however the smell when one burps after having durian can be quite...disgusting too... :p
